Alexia Gonzalez grew up and worked in Miami prior to moving to St. Pete and developing a love for the Tampa Bay community. Having worked in travel and hospitality marketing and public relations since graduating with her Master’s in multicultural marketing from Florida State University, Alexia began a new path in St. Pete. She launched her digital platform The Gala Life, started writing for St. Pete Foodies, led content creation and social media for The Dalí Museum, and began working as a fashion host for the Home Shopping Network (HSN). After launching her own marketing business as an extension of The Gala Life, The Gala Group was born and Alexia left her full-time work to focus on her creative agency and love for hosting. Still a lover of local content creation, she contributes to St. Pete Rising and loves working with local brands as both a spokesperson/content creator and marketing partner (depending on client need).

What are you most excited about in your new role? I launched The Gala Life blog as a content platform to share my love for the incredible local businesses that make up the unique personalities of some of my favorite cities, like my hometown of Miami and current home in Tampa Bay, and everything in between.
My love for supporting small businesses on the side has led to my own boutique venture with the birth of The Gala Group, a bilingual communications firm, offering dynamic public relations, social media marketing, content creation, media training + branding services, a focus on storytelling worth celebrating. We provide agency expertise with a boutique approach.
I’m most excited to be able to pursue my love for storytelling and creating content on my own terms and to service a roster of both local and international travel clients. I look forward to supporting more visionaries looking to establish authentic connections with key audiences themselves!
