Joseph was born with a rare breathing disability called Congenital Central Hypoventilation Syndrome and lived in Michigan most of his life until he moved to Punta Gorda, Florida, in 2009. He started his professional career as a freelance photojournalist under Kathy Grey who happened to find him wandering around taking pictures of the city. In 2014 he was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma Stage 3 cancer that he beat 2015, since then Joseph has created his lifestyle business called The Highly Recommended while training/teaching Jiu-Jitsu (He is a Purple Belt under Robson Moura) and consulting people on Cannabis. He never let’s life issues stop him.
