Melissa Neeley grew up in Tampa before moving to Houston in 2013 to work in the nonprofit sector. In 2020, Tampa called Melissa and her family home. Melissa not only loves the nonprofit sector because she’s able to work for impactful missions, but because of the people. Tampa is full of community-driven residents, ready to jump in whenever called.

What are you most excited about in your new role? This role feels like a culmination of everything I have learned throughout my career – from programming to fundraising to Board management. Not only do I get to focus on our day-to-day operation, but I also oversee our strategic direction and development. It has been exciting to incorporate my history with national youth leadership programs into our local program. The students are at the core of every decision I make.
