Apprenticeship Opportunities Available to Young Adults Through ACE 2.0

CareerSource Tampa Bay (CSTB) has announced a continued partnership with Hillsborough County’s Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) to create the Apprenticeship-to-Career Empowerment 2.0 Program (ACE 2.0). The program, set to kick-off this month, was developed for young adults between the ages of 18 to 24 looking to earn money while they learn valuable career skills. Participants of ACE 2.0 will take home an income while working toward an industry-recognized certificate that will propel them forward in their chosen field of work.

CSTB and BOCC have partnered with local employers in four industries including Financial Shared Services, Information Technology and Manufacturing. Healthcare will be added to ACE 2.0 soon.

“Those of us at CareerSource Tampa Bay are excited for this incredible opportunity to help the youth of Hillsborough County find the careers fit for them,” said CSTB CEO John Flanagan in a press release. “We hope that the implementation of this program will lead to a significant number of bright new careers for our youth in Hillsborough County.”
