COhatch, an Ohio-based coworking company recently announced the purchase of a site on W Main Street in the historic commercial district of West Tampa.
The building is located at 2132 W Main Street and according to county property records was built in 1905.
That’s 117 years of history the company will restore and bring back to life.
COhatch’s plans for the building are two-fold.
Bar-B-Que King, a local favorite and one of the last surviving storefronts will receive upgrades to its kitchen and seating space.
The rest of the building will become a coworking space that’s slated to open this summer.
This project is part of the company’s plans to expand its footprint in Tampa Bay. Over the next 10 years, COhatch plans to open 15 new coworking locations around the area.
