Thanks to a new social network dubbed “LinkedIn for athletes,” athletes looking for opportunities just got a little easier
Launched in 2019, Tampa-based tech firm GMTM — short-for and pronounced “game time” — is a social network for athletes, coaches, trainers and industry staff. Premier sports organizations use GMTM’s virtual marketing tools to connect and build relationships with athletes from all walks of life, all over the world. GMTM believes that athletes “should have access to opportunities regardless of income, geography, or background.”
The technology, much like that of other social networks like Facebook and LinkedIn, allows users to create a free account and upload content to their feed. The profile serves as a platform for athletes to showcase their talent and build their brand.
GMTM also benefits college sports recruiters, providing an easily accessible portal for schools seeking talented student-athletes.
