According to a press release, “five of USF’s online programs rank in the top 100, including three programs in the top 50 and one in the top 15.” The highest ranked program is Computer Information Technology, coming in at the 14th spot, with Engineering at No. 30 and the online MBA program at No. 31.
When completing the rankings, U.S. News and World Report (U.S. News) considered factors such as graduation numbers, retention rates, admission prerequisites, peer reputation, faculty credentials, technology infrastructure and student support services. The impact of these categories varies, depending on the program.
In September of 2021, the news publication also ranked USF as America’s fastest-rising university. USF now stands at No. 46 among public universities in the United States. Over the past 10 years, no other university in the country has climbed higher in the rankings than USF.
