For more than half a century, Gasparilla Arts Festival has brought people together with one common goal: To experience some really amazing artwork. GAF will continue to unite art enthusiasts and art curiousists (yes, I made up that word) in two weeks.

Once known as “The Little Art Show That Could,” GAF has grown from a small State Fair exhibit to an event with massive appeal where talented worldwide artists compete for significant cash prizes and scholarships.

The festival will showcase artists and their work to include ceramic, digital, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, watercolor and wood. Works of local young artists will also be featured, and live entertainment performed.

Gasparilla Arts Festival is Saturday, March 5, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, March 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park.
